((For Silver))

Kairos is very nice, and he's glad of the place to stay, but after five years of wandering Connor gets restless easily. His nightmares are back, if not as bad as they used to be, so he's restless and tired, which isn't a good combination. Teaching and sparring with Jelani helps occupy his time, though, and so does cooking for Kairos. He still has too much spare time, so he sits on the fringes of the Nexus, and watches, and puts off going home to his own world.

Silver chuckles softly as she feels that suppressed laughter, then squirms a bit and takes a tiny bit of light out of Blue's 'skirt'. This little bit is examined curiously, and then she whispers to it and watches as it dissolves into cobalt blue sparkles and fades away. Smiling now, the little dragon child closes her eyes, hugs her doll, and sleeps content in the knowledge of her wish. She's still young enough to put out a bit of that heavy contentment that even normal human babies put out when they sleep, and Miss Jenny, after a few more moments of hand washing, settles down against Connor's side and starts putting out similar happy relaxing vibes.

-Nice,- says the big cat happily.

"Yeah... yeah, it is. Heh. Not sure I deserve this..." His voice is very soft, as he's trying not to disturb Silver, but he gets both arms behind his head, and now he's sandwiched between two warm bodies and one of them is purring. He won't be awake long.

-Silly.- Miss Jenny headbutts him in the side, and then uses him for a pillow and ups her purring. -Sleepy time now.-

Connor gives an amiable grunt, eyes drifting closed. He's really not intending to fall asleep, but it's impossible not to.

Once he's sleeping little thoughts and feelings will touch him, similar to the way that Miss Jenny's do, save that these are stronger and their feeling of comfort and content is more clearly presented. Silver is dreaming and sharing it. In her dream a little blond Jewish girl is sleeping in the sun next to her adopted father, her small face showing contentment and peace. Flowers wave around the two people, and the occasional butterfly flits overhead.

Connor's own memories are quick to embellish the scene, giving detail to Rachel's face, and putting him in the clothes of the era, button-down shirt, tweed slacks and vest, wingtip shoes and all. There was a time he took more care in his appearance.
One hand lifts to stroke her hair gently, and whether or not that translates to the waking world is hard to say.

Silver doesn't physically feel that, but she sees it in the dream. Dream Rachel snuggles and sighs.
