Connor wonders a little if this means some of it's coming back to mind, but he recognizes the predatory circling, and it puts him back on full alert. This is definitely not over. He's still letting Nick lead, in a way, willing to fight until the vampire gives some sign he wants a break. It's good practice, because Connor's not sure of his own stamina anymore. He's noticed himself needing breaks when he teaches Jelani, although they both frequently draw blood in their matches.
