Dinner as a goodbye...

After talking with Jelani in the Nexus, Connor returns to the place he's starting, tentatively, to think of as home base. He tucks the envelope full of money away in his suitcase, and takes roughly two minutes to pack, because he's been living out of it anyway.
Then he goes to the kitchen, and rummages, and gets to work. A chocolate cake comes first, made from scratch. While that's cooling he starts on dinner; chicken breasts stuffed with broccoli and cheese, rice pilaf, a little more steamed broccoli in case what's in the chicken isn't enough.

He has to tell Kairos that he's going back to his world, just long enough to get things in order and talk to Duncan, but he's not sure how long that will be.

After it's over, though, this is where he plans to return to.

She shrugs a little, smiling. "I'll take that as a compliment. I met someone in the Nexus that wanted to get rid of it. Hide the evidence, so to speak. I like to walk, but it'd be nice to not have to beg for rides when I visit family. It's a '67 Chevy Impala." And then she laughs. "Painted pink from it's original black."

He starts to look very interested... then blinks. "It's... pink? I don't guess you'd be interested in getting it repainted before I drive it?" He smirks.

"What, you don't appreciate pepto bismal pink? That's why she had to get rid of it. She pulled a prank on a friend of hers, who owned a black one. He's.. kind of possessive of his car, so when he saw something he was told was his.." There's that gorgeous smile again. "I dunno. Convince me?"

He scratches his jaw thoughtfully with a sandpaper sound. "Duncan has a black '64 Thunderbird and I want him to be jealous?"

"I expect you want it something appropriately manly, like black."

He shrugs. "My Porsche was white. And it's your car, of course."

"Of course it is, but I appreciate your opinion. Plus I'd planned on talking you into a few kisses as thank you."

He smiles a little, looking down. "I've got lots of those. For you, at least."

He chuckles softly. "Does that mean you're getting the car repainted?"

"Probably. Kiss me first."

He takes a swig of water first, just in case, and leans over to kiss her. One hand goes up on reflex and tangles gently in her hair. Connor really likes her hair.

There's a soft, sweet noise at the kiss, then another as she pulls away so that her hair is pulled. She likes that, and his kisses. "Wanna give you something to remember me by..."

"I don't think I could forget you if I tried." He smiles a little, and nuzzles her cheek.

She chuckles, turning her face slightly to kiss his own cheek. "So sweet. And handsome."

That gets him blushing a little, more than any dirty joke ever could. "If you say so. I still think you must have me confused with somebody else."

She lifts an eyebrow. "So it's not you I'm supposed to be kissing?"

"...I don't know. Maybe you'd better try again to be sure?" He smiles slyly and goes in for another kiss.

"OK.." And she kisses him again, carefully, her tongue pressing along the crease of his lips for entrance.

He opens his lips and presses back gently, sliding half out of his chair to embrace her. Dinner's going to get cold.

Kairos is pretty okay with that. She makes another soft little noise in the back of her throat as she kisses him back. She moves closer, almost half in his lap.

He's got his arms around her already, so he steadies her to make sure she's not about to slide onto the floor or anything, and finishes a kiss to start nuzzling her neck and ear.

No no, she's more likely to climb him then fall to the floor. She makes herself comfortable in his lap and lets her neck tilt slightly to the side for better access. Her hands curiously explore his arms and shoulders through his shirt.

"Has anyone..." *Kiss* "Told you..." *Kiss* "You're distracting?" He kisses his way up and down her neck a little.

Kairos preens in his arms. "Maybe once." She kisses his neck. "Should I stop?" She may not listen even if he says they should.
